Worldchefs presents…Argiro Barbarigou, Goddess of Greek Cuisine

Greek Cuisine is an International Phenomena and it’s not just about souvlaki and moussaka.

Hear what the Goddess of Greek Cuisine has to share!

Argiro’s success is rooted in her love of country and the Greek people. In a culture where celebrity sensations are usually limited to singers, Argiro, pioneered the ‘TV Chef’ boasting record ratings among audiences from teens to ‘Yiayias,’ carving out a brand in demand by TV, print, digital media and corporate sponsors.

Argiro uses her mantle to promote Greek cuisine around the world, as the country’s de facto culinary ambassador. From Food & Wine Festivals like Disneyland to high profile events like cooking for Bill Clinton at the The Hellenic Initiative Gala (NYC), Argiro is frequently invited to share Greece’s unique flavors around the world. In 2013, she joined a host of Greek chefs present Greek Cuisine to the United States Congress.

Argiro loans her celebrity to numerous causes such as the One Greece campaign to raise funds for Greece’s economic recovery and the Global Aids awareness campaign.  But it is her work with children that she is most passionate about. As the Ambassador of SOS Children’s Villages, Argiro answers the call when asked to help Greece’s orphans, raising money and teaching the kids to cook for themselves.

Worldchefs Congress & Expo 2016 in Thessaloniki, Greece is the place to discover the future of cuisine.
